What do you do when you mess up the fragile underframe components of a resin craftsman kit? No worries, we live in the future now, so you just print out a new one. Eliot is assembling a Funaro & Carmelengo kit for a Lackawanna wood boxcar and needed to replace the underframe. He designed a new one using SolidWorks CAD software and printed the new underframe using an Ultimaker 2 3D printer. Having these options available to the modelmaker open up a new world of possibilities.
We meet every Tuesday at 7:00pm in Room A-420 in the lower level of the Student Alumni Union, and we hold work sessions every Saturday starting at 10:00am. Come join us, no experience required!

Meeting Mayhem
We had another fun meeting last night running trains and getting to know the new members. Some alumni dropped by, including Kyle, E.J., and Otto. Trains were run, Matt said important words, and plans were made for our work session this Saturday at 10:00am. Join us if you want to pitch in, we've got a lot of projects to work on, from electrical to woodworking and more.
